This book analyses the new EU Regulation 2015/848 of 20 may 2015 on insolvency proceedings, which has reformed (recast) EC Regulation 1346/2000. Its aim is to provide with a systematic explanation of the legal framework regulating the issue of cross-border insolvency cases involving at least one Member State of the European Union, except Denmark. The book contains a study in depth of the new prescriptions in the light of the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union concerning EC Regulation 1346/2000, international best practices on cross-border insolvency law and most influential academic debates in the field.
