La Sicilia crocevia diplomatico nella biblioteca diodorea

In this work, the role of the Sicily in the field ofthe diplomatic relationships inside Mediterranean area from fifth to fourth century b.C. was examined. Diodoro Siculo hystorian has been the preferred reference, and in particular, his XI-XIII books of the Hystoric Library were the source of the most important and, in some cases exclusive, information about Sicily hidtory from 480 to Dionisio I tyranny. In the reviewing of the embassies, specific attention was devoted to the diplomatc efforts featured not only by their testimonial value, but also by evidencing a western historiograph more informed than the metropolitan one, also identified as world-wide or in attendance of local propaganda hystoriography.
