The essay reflects on the concepts of ‘jurisdiction’ and ‘pluralism’ according to the most recent developments in Italian historiography on the Early Modern Age, identifying some thematic paths and pointing out their multiple interpretative profiles. It considers certain areas of jurisdiction’s activity, highlights its pervasiveness and fragmentation, showing how it is an essential key to understanding modernity.
Il saggio riflette sui concetti di ‘giurisdizione’ e di ‘pluralismo’ sulla base delle più recenti acquisizioni della storiografia italiana sull’età moderna, individuando alcuni percorsi tematici e mostrandone i molteplici profili interpretativi. Tiene conto di taluni ambiti su cui si estende la giurisdizione, ne evidenzia la pervasività e la frammentazione, mostrando come essa sia una chiave di lettura imprescindibile della modernità
