LETTURE PARALLELE. L’architettura, il paesaggio e il racconto delle arti

Reflecting on the connections between different cultural spheres serves to remind us of the interdisciplinary nature of knowledge and the transversality of disciplines: it is an indispensable issue for contemporary culture if it aspires to exercise a maieutic aware of the fact that each knowledge is contiguous and arrives in the knowledge of the other. The multidisciplinary readings can then flow into a single vision that stimulates pauses for reflection and suggests other and new thoughts. All the more so if the theme is nature from which architecture, literature, the arts and other sciences have always drawn nourishment to build the landscape, the forms of living, the life of man. The interpretation of the Fossa della Garofala, developed as part of the LETTURE PARALLELE (Parallel readings) initiative of the SEARCH association of the University of Palermo, becomes an opportunity for the construction of the story.

Soffermarsi sulle connessioni tra diversi ambiti culturali serve a ricordarci l’interdisciplinarietà dei saperi e la trasversalità delle discipline: è una questione indispensabile alla cultura contemporanea se aspira ad esercitare una maieutica consapevole del fatto che ogni sapere è contiguo ed approda nel sapere dell’altro, se vuole offrire una visione unitaria che, invece, si è sempre più settorializzata. Le letture pluridisciplinari possono poi confluire in un’unica visione che stimola pause di riflessione e suggerisce altri e nuovi pensieri. A maggior ragione se il tema è la natura dalla quale da sempre l’architettura, la letteratura, le arti e le altre scienze hanno tratto alimento per costruire il paesaggio, le forme dell’abitare, la vita dell’uomo. L’interpretazione della Fossa della Garofala, elaborata nell’ambito dell’iniziativa LETTURE PARALLELE dell’associazione SEARCH dell’Università di Palermo, diventa occasione per la costruzione di un racconto.
