Architettura e paesaggio nella città contemporanea

In the last years the Italian landscape has been constantly degraded with buildings that do not always have the sense of belonging to the context, landscape and history of the places. The article examines some project proposals of European sphere with critical reflections about the relationship between landscape and contemporary architecture. The design proposals, in the various places, surely partial in comparison to the European and international panorama, are an indispensable material for theoretical and design reflections about the theme of the relationship between landscape and contemporary architecture; these proposals have been described with the firm conviction that only a clear relationship with the context, the landscape and the history can restore integrity to the new landscape, precisely if the architecture will be able to respond to the geography’s and history’s sense.

Negli ultimi anni il paesaggio italiano ha subìto un continuo degrado con edifici che non sempre hanno il senso di appartenenza al contesto, al paesaggio e alla storia dei luoghi. L’articolo esamina delle proposte progettuali di ambito europeo, con alcune riflessioni critiche attorno al rapporto tra paesaggio e architettura contemporanea. I progetti illustrati, seppur espressione parziale di una più ampia produzione europea e internazionale, forniscono un adeguato spunto per avviare riflessioni teoriche e progettuali sul tema del rapporto fra paesaggio e architettura contemporanea. Il percorso tra i luoghi, tra città e paesaggi, visto attraverso lo sguardo di altri, ha costituito una sorta di itinerario indispensabile per verificare le tracce del passato e per costruire un futuro: gli esempi proposti mostrano come sia possibile ridare integrità al nuovo paesaggio attraverso la valorizzazione di istanze proprie della geografia e della storia.
